Rum History and Ron Boricua tasting

Begin the tour with a guided walk through the history of Rum in Puerto Rico and Ron Boricua hosted by the creator of Ron Boricua, Augusto Ponce. Tracing its origins from the Caribbean to becoming a global spirit. 

With this tour the participants will learn the various steps, from harvesting sugarcane to fermentation, distillation, and aging in oak barrels. Learning about the different rum types (light, dark, aged, spiced) and how factors such as climate and aging influence flavor.

Also, experience a hands-on mixology session, where a professional mixologist demonstrates how to craft classic and innovative rum cocktails. Participants will learn the techniques for shaking, stirring, and garnishing, as well as the art of balancing flavors. They can then create and taste their own rum cocktails, with guidance on choosing ingredients to complement different rum profiles.
